Afternoon Tea

Fitzbillies

Fitzbillies, with its beautiful art nouveau shop front, is a Cambridge institution. Its famously sticky chelsea buns have been made and sold on the premises since 1921. No trip to Cambridge is complete without a visit.

The cake shop, coffee counter and cafe/restaurant are open for coffee, lunch and afternoon tea 7 days a week.

The Orchard Tea Gardens

Enjoy afternoon tea in these attractive gardens set in the picturesque village of Grantchester.

The history of The Orchard started in 1897 when a group of Cambridge students asked if they could take their tea in the orchard rather than on the front lawn as the custom was. Regulars included Rupert Brooke, Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E.M. Forster, Bertrand Russell, Augustus John, and Ludwig Wittgenstein
